Vinicius Jnr ‘has NOT been included in Real Madrid’s squad for tonight’s match due to knee injury’
Vinicius Jnr ‘is OUT of Real Madrid’s squad for tonight’s match with Rayo Vallecano with a knee issue’ after he had been cleared to play with his red card against Valencia rescinded
- Madrid’s Vinicius Jnr was originally due to be suspended for tonight’s match
- However, his red card against Valencia has been rescinded following a review
- He will now not play tonight as he has been left out of the squad due to injury
Vinicius Jnr will not be involved in Real Madrid’s LaLiga clash with Rayo Vallecano tonight as he has discomfort in his left knee, according to reports.
The Brazilian winger was originally set to miss the match after being sent off on Sunday in Madrid’s 1-0 defeat at Valencia for appearing to hit striker Hugo Duro in the face during a melee in second half stoppage time.
However, he was subjected to racist abuse before and during the game from the home fans, and after reviewing the footage his red card was rescinded, and Valencia have been handed a five-match partial stadium ban.
He will still not be able to take to the field at the Bernabeu this evening, though, as he is injured and has not been included in Carlo Ancelotti’s matchday squad, according to COPE.
The report claims Vinicius Jnr is also a doubt for his side’s next game against Sevilla on Saturday.

It has been a difficult few days for Vinicius Jnr, who was left in tears on the pitch as supporters hurled vile racist abuse at him on Sunday.
He took to social media after the game to hit out at LaLiga’s lack of action when dealing with racism after being the target of abuse on multiple occasions this season.
The 22-year-old wrote: ‘It wasn’t the first time, not the second and not the third. Racism is normal in La Liga.
‘The competition thinks it’s normal, so does the Federation and the opponents encourage it. I am so sorry.
‘The championship that once belonged to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano and Messi, today belongs to the racists.

He received support from Brazilian icon Ronaldo, who called for more action to be taken
‘A beautiful nation, which welcomed me and I love, but which accepted to export the image to the world from a racist country.
‘Sorry for the Spaniards who do not agree, but today, in Brazil, Spain is known as a country of racists. And unfortunately with everything that happens on a weekly basis, I have no way to defend.
‘I agree. But I’m strong and will go to the end against the racists. Even though its far from here.’
He has received widespread support from the majority of the football community, with Rio Ferdinand, along with fellow Brazilians Ronaldo and Raphinha showing solidarity with the forward.
Florentino Perez assured Vinicius Jr on Monday that he has the club’s full support
Real president Florentino Perez has also called for change, and met with Vinicius Jnr on Monday to assure him that he has the club’s full support.
However, Vinicius Jnr has also been challenged on his comments, with LaLiga president Javier Tebas insisting they are ‘very unfair’, while a newspaper based in Valencia shockingly claimed the Madrid star acted like a ‘spoiled brat’ during Sunday’s match.
Should Vinicius Jnr miss Saturday’s match at Sevilla as well, he will have just one more game to play in this season, with Madrid hosting Athletic Bilbao on the final day.
It was reported earlier this week that Vinicius’ agents have proposed the idea of him leaving Spain due to the abuse he has received this term, but Ancelotti is confident he will remain at Madrid next season.
