Reebok’s Nano X3 High-Performance Training Sneaker Offers New Tech – Sourcing Journal

Reebok is leveling up on its award-winning Nano franchise with a new sneaker release.

On Friday, the Boston athletic wear brand announced the launch of the Nano X3 training shoe, a fresh take on the 13-year-old Nano silhouette with a sleeker, more versatile design.

The update includes a Lift and Run (L.A.R) Chassis System embedded within the midsole to provide support throughout training and a dome TPU piece in the heel that hardens under pressure for added stability and softens when not under heavy load. The dome is encapsulated by Reebok’s Floatride Energy Foam, giving the sole extra resilience and cushioning during exercise including running and jumping. An additional TPU plate connects to the dome to ensure lateral and torsional support as well as forefoot propulsion.

“As the training needs of athletes and fitness enthusiasts continues to evolve, the Nano evolves with them,” senior product manager Tal Short said. “The Nano X3 is the most dialed in Nano yet with a focus on comfort and support while offering a fresh new look and feel.” Other key differentiators include an updated heel shape and clip, a ROPERO+ outsole and new tread pattern that guards against wear and tear while providing more grip and lightweight and breathable FlexWeave knit uppers made with 30 percent recycled content.

Launching globally Feb. 10, the Nano X3 will be released largely in unisex sizing with select women’s-only color ways for $140. Reebok said it would continue to drop new color ways and packs throughout the season, and that product availability would vary regionally. Meanwhile, Reebok Unlocked members can access a limited-edition pack featuring two unisex color ways—vector red and vector blue, with black and chalk accents—beginning Feb. 3.
