Nike Air Force 1 “Pojangmacha” DX3141-861

Nike SNKRS Korea is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a special Korea-exclusive treat that recognizes the popular food stands all over the country. The decades-old pojangmacha is known to serve quick and cheap food such as rice cakes, skewered fish cakes in broth, and Korean blood sausage, but many serve all types of fried foods, rice rolls, and even beer and alcohol. These roadside restaurants can vary in size, but they’re primarily known for inexpensive meals and are cherished by workers after a long day of work.

This Air Force 1 Low features a two toned upper of white and chili red, a nod to the signature sauce used in spicy ddukboki rice cakes. On the insoles is an illustration of the skewered snacks, including folded fish cake. The canvas heel-tab is likely a nod to the tents that typically cover these eateries.

Currently, a release is expected exclusively on Nike SNKRS Korea on September 25th.
