Fulham will return with a new bid for Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz today after having their opening offer rejected by the Championship side on Wednesday night.
Marco Silva wants to provide competition for Aleksandar Mitrovic at Craven Cottage as Fulham look to continue their bright start to the season after picking up eight points from their opening five matches.
Mitrovic’s ability to perform in the Premier League has previously been questioned, but he has gone some way to answering his critics by scoring five goals in as many games this term.

However, Silva would like to add more depth to his squad in the attacking areas of the pitch after missing out on Justin Kluivert when the Roma winger was denied a work permit by the FA.
The west London club have turned to Brereton Diaz, and have not given up hope of signing one of the standout forwards in the second tier over the past 12 months.
The Chilean international netted 22 goals in the Championship last term, and has scored three times this season, including the winner against Blackpool on Wednesday.

His goals have helped Blackburn move into the play-off places in the early stages of the season, and they are just two points behind early pace-setters Sheffield United.
Blackburn have also received enquiries from Everton, Nice and Celta Vigo for Brereton Diaz.
Everton have scored just four goals in their five matches this season, and Frank Lampard’s side may opt to follow up their interest in Brereton Diaz to improve their options in the final third.
