Erling Haaland smashes MORE goal records in Manchester derby mauling as striker becomes the first EVER Premier League player to score three consecutive home hat-tricks… and the first City star to score three in the derby since 1970!

Erling Haaland has broken more records after scoring another hat-trick in Manchester City’s rampant 6-3 win over rivals Manchester United.

The Norwegian striker has unsurprisingly been heavily among the goals for Pep Guardiola’s side this season and his first appearance in the Manchester derby was no different.

Haaland got a brace in the first half alongside Phil Foden as City went into the break with a commanding 4-0 lead.

He completed his hat-trick with a close-range finish 64 minutes in to take his tally for the season to 17 and break a number of records in the process.

The 22-year-old has now scored three consecutive home hat-tricks, the first player to do this in Premier League history.

Haaland is also the first City player to score a hat-trick against United since Francis Lee in December 1970 and the third overall after Horace Barnes in 1921.

He was later joined by Foden, who got his third after 73 minutes.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, the striker said: ‘Yeah, not bad! We scored six goals! What can I say. It’s amazing.

‘To win at home, score six goals, it’s nice.

‘You can feel it all the time. You can see the passes we give each other. We always want to go forward and to attack.

They will return to action on Wednesday night when they take on Copenhagen in the Champions League before hosting Southampton in the league on Saturday.
