Emma Raducanu surrounds herself with chocolates and cuddly toys as she posts photo with bandaged wrist as the tennis star is set to miss Wimbledon because of surgery
Tennis star Emma Raducanu has released pictures showing her recovery from a recent operation, as she is set to miss the French Open and Wimbledon as a result of surgery.
The 20-year-old, who shot to international stardom after winning the US Open in 2021, posted shots of herself with a bandaged wrist, surrounded by chocolates and also holding a cuddly toy.
After her incredible victory in America, the star has struggled to come near her historic win in subsequent tournaments.
She recently underwent minor wrist surgery after suffering from discomfort.
The star has also undergone a procedure on her ankle.

Now on her Instagram account she has posted a ‘recent recovery roundup’ with a series of photos.
This includes picture of her relaxing on the sofa, wearing a Stanford sweater and pictures of her apparently feeding a dog, along with a video of a roaring fire. She also posted a shot of her alongside a medical professional.
It is unclear if she will be fit in time to take part in this year’s US Open.
She previously said: ‘It is safe to say the last ten months have been difficult as I dealt with a recurring injury on a bone of both hands.’
Raducanu, who is from Kent, added: ‘I tried my best to manage the pain and play through it for most of this year and end of last year by reducing practice load dramatically, missing weeks of training as well as cutting last season short to try to heal it.
‘Unfortunately it is not enough. I’m having a minor procedure done on both hands to resolve the issues.’
Despite her injury, Raducanu looks to be in good spirits
